Jeanette Maria Bennett Obituary

Jeanette Maria (Furnari) Bennett, 85, of Enfield, beloved wife of the late Francis W. Bennett, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Evergreen Healthcare Center in Stafford. Born on December 9, 1928 in Bronx, NY, Jeanette was the daughter of the late Charles and Estelle (Van Hoven) Furnari. Following her graduation from high school in 1948, she relocated to Hartford where she met and married Francis W. Bennett, who was the love of her life for 66 years. Jeanette was a long-standing employee of Bradlees department store in Enfield, retiring after 35 years with various awards for outstanding customer service. Jeanette was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family of seven children, Charles E, Bennett and his wife, Laura of Brooksville, FL, Kevin B, Bennett and his fiancée, Krissa Mercier of Somers, Raelyn M. Spiller-Reardon and her husband, Michael of Somers, Fran M. Bennett and his wife, Pamela of East Windsor, Robin B. Van Damme and her husband, Brian of Windsor Locks, Robert A, Bennett, and Carolina E. Orlosky and her fiancé, Jorge Valdez of Tampa, FL; her brothers, Frank Furnari and his wife, Alice of Florida and Jeanette's steady champion Charles Furnari and his wife, Joan of Enfield. She is also survived by her beloved, wonderful grandchildren, Brian Bennett, Erin Scott, Charles Bennett, Jr., Tina Cox, Autumn Delong, Matthew Bennett, Jason Bennett, Jillian Nemergut, Brooke Caponegro, Alyssa Tezack, Nicole Bennett, Michael Bennett, Danielle Tezack and Victoria Reardon; and 14 great grandchildren. Jeanette was predeceased by her beautiful granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Cocchi. Jeanette's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd, Enfield, CT 06082. A private entombment will take place in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery at the convenience of the family. We would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at Evergreen Healthcare for all the tremendous support, kindness and comfort they provided to Jeanette and her family, we will always be grateful.
