Florideo DiBacco Obituary

Florideo DiBacco, 83, of Newington, beloved husband of the late Maria (Giardini) DiBacco, died Wednesday, (August 27, 2014) at home. Born in Pratola Peligna, Province of Aquila, Italy, he lived in Newington for many years. Florideo retired in 1988 from the United Tool & Die in West Hartford after 35 years of service and he was a member of the Pratolana M.B. Society in Hartford. Florideo was a huge fan of professional soccer. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Marisa and Walter Gualtieri and Angela and Daniel D'Agata, all of Newington; four grandchildren, Claudio Gualtieri, Frank Gualtieri and his wife Kristen, Daniel D'Agata II, Christina D'Agata, a great granddaughter, Gabriella, his brother and sister-in-law, Aldo and Vilma DiBacco and his sister-in-law, Verena DiBacco, all of Newington, sisters in law and brothers in law Delfina and Panfilo Carducci of Newington and Luigi and Dina Giardini of Italy and Vanda DiCioccio of Newington and he leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings, Americo DiBacco and Anna Antolini of Newington and brother-in-law, Cesidio DiCioccio. The funeral is Saturday at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 626 Willard Ave., Newington. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, Wethersfield.
