Mary D. Castolene

Mary D. (DeSorbo) Castolene, 86, formerly of Long View Ave., Bristol, widow of Jacob J. Castolene, died Saturday (October 13, 2001) at Bristol Hospital. Mrs. Castolene was born in Southington, September 5, 1915 and was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Amelia (Fasci) DeSorbo. A longtime Bristol and Florida resident, she was employed at the former Hildreth Press and the American Can Company before retiring. Mrs. Castolene is survived by two sons, Paul Castolene of Southington, and John "Jack" Castolene of San Diego, CA; four brothers, Domenic DeSorbo of Bristol, Earl, John, and Donald DeSorbo all of Southington; four sisters, Nancy Marasco of Lenox, MA, Josephine Charpentier and Ann Young of Bristol, and Dolores LaPorte of Southington; five grandchildren, John Castolene Jr. and Traci Castolene of Bristol, Jason Castolene of Boston, MA, Amy Moreno of San Diego, and Tami Miclette of Norfolk, VA; three great grandchildren, John Miclette Jr., and Alyssa and Aaron Moreno; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, at 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
