Obituary Condolences

CROWLEY, William E. Sr. William Ellsworth Crowley, Sr., 80, of East Granby, beloved husband of Barbara Rose (Sullivan) Crowley for 61 years, died Friday, (September 5, 2008), at home. Born in West Springfield, MA to John and Lillian Crowley, he attended West Springfield High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked as an automobile painter. He enjoyed many happy years in retirement traveling with his wife and family and his friends, the Tyrkases. He is survived by his sons, William (Barbara Kruzewski) Crowley, Jr. of Suffield, John (Mary) Crowley of Barnstable, MA, David Crowley of Westfield, MA and Michael Crowley of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren are Brian (Magdalena) Crowley of Plymouth, MA, Alison (Daniel) Pape of Windsor Locks, Leanne (Joshua) Crowley-Sellers of Los Angeles, CA, Greg Crowley of Westfield, MA and Kelley Crowley of Tacoma, WA; great grandson, Aiden William Crowley of Plymouth, MA; two sisters, Patricia Warner and Teresa Parrott, both of West Springfield, MA. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Crowley; his sisters Marguerite Pokorny, Kathryn Fortier and Maryan Symon; his daughter Kathleen Crowley and his daughter-in-law, Barbara Packard Crowley. A funeral Mass will take place on Friday, September 12, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 475 Main Street, West Springfield, MA, with burial to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Instead please make donations in memory of Bill to the East Granby Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 100, East Granby, CT 06026.
