Obituary Condolences

PRANGER, William William Pranger, 77, of Port Charlotte, FL. died on Thursday, (October 16, 2008) after a short illness. He was born in New Britain and was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Murray) Pranger. He attended local schools and was a graduate of New Britain High School Class of 1951. Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired in 1992 from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was a long time New Britain resident moving to Bristol and later to Florida. He is survived by two sons and a daughter, Gary Pranger and his wife, Diane of Bristol; Brian Pranger of Dallas, TX; Gail Jones of Martin, TN; two granddaughters, Leslie and Tina Pranger of Bristol; and a great granddaughter, Emily, and his cousin, Bernard Brennan of Kensington and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Pranger. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23 at 10 a.m. at the New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 22, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
