BARD, Patrick E. Patrick E. Bard, 68, of Windsor Locks entered into Eternal Rest on Tuesday, (May 12, 2009) at Riverside Healthcare Center. Patrick was born on June 10, 1940 in St. Agatha, ME, the son of the late Samuel and Elsie (Collin) Bard. He moved to Connecticut in 1957 and shortly after started working at Pratt & Whitney in Human Resources and retired in 1992 after 33 years. Patrick was a faithful communicant of St. Mary Church, volunteered at St. Joseph's Residence Little Sister of the Poor in Enfield, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus in West Hartford, and a huge supporter of Catholic charities. He was very fond of his French heritage and was a lifetime member of the French Circle Club in East Hartford. He enjoyed playing card games such as cribbage and charlemagne. Patrick is survived by two sons, Donald Bard and his wife, Susan of Stratford and their children, Danielle and Justin; Paul Bard and his wife, Susan of Hebron and their children, Joshua and April Marie. He is also survived by a brother, Richard Bard and his wife, Anna of Winslow, ME; two sisters, Arlene Mailloux and her husband, Bernie of Columbia and Jacqueline Veronese of Columbia; many nieces and nephews; his feline friend, Missy. Patrick was predeceased by two brothers, Philip and Robert. A funeral procession will gather by 12 Noon on Saturday, May 16, at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated St. Mary Church at 1 p.m. Patrick will be laid to rest in St. James Cemetery with his parents. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family for visiting hours on Friday, May 15, from 5-8 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home.
