Obituary Condolences

JALET, Eileen G. Eileen G. Jalet, 66, of South Windsor, passed away peacefully at her home Friday, (July 31, 2009) with her loving family at her side. Daughter of Albert N. Horn and the late Dorothy (Pope) Horn, she was born in Flushing, NY and moved to South Windsor in 1965. A longtime employee of the South Windsor school system and past Town Council Clerk, she was very active with the South Windsor Senior Center. Eileen was an avid gardener and enjoyed crafting, often knitting scarves, hats, and blankets for Project Linus. Besides her father, she is survived by a son, Brian Jalet and his wife, Kimberly, of Scotland; two daughters, Cynthia Jalet, of Flagstaff, AZ, and Cathleen Andre, of South Windsor; two grandchildren, Cedar Andre and Soren Vogelsang; and a brother, Neil Horn and his wife, Lorraine, of Jacksonville, FL. Besides her mother, she was predeceased by a son, Michael Jalet and a former husband, Donald M. Jalet. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at her home, 10 Peach Tree Lane, South Windsor.
