Obituary Condolences

JANICK, Edmund E. Edmund E. Janick, 88, of Farmington, beloved husband of Rose M. (Mancuso) Janick of 60 years, passed away on Monday, (October 5, 2009). He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, and his favorite pastimes were golf, rooting for the UConn Huskies and enjoying his daily crossword puzzles. Edmund had been a tool & die maker with United Tool & Die and Handi Spring before his retirement. He also had proudly served in the US Navy during World War II as a gunner and was a member of the VFW. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He also leaves his three children and their families, Joy and Andrew Landsman and their daughter, Codie of Burlington; Jay Janick of Farmington and his two daughters, Rose Marie Janick and son, Dominic Jr. and Christine Janick of Enfield; Jodi and Mark Rumley and their children, Rebecca, Hannah, Luke and Sarah of Hebron and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Diane Mancuso and Grace Mozzicato. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary; three sisters; three brothers and his brother-in-law, "Ray" Mancuso. Friends and family are invited to attend the Graveside services with Military Honors to be held Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10:30 a.m. in State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
