Clarence L. Devoe

Clarence L. Devoe, 87, of Bristol, husband of Cecile (Dumais) Devoe, died Tuesday, (August 26, 2003) at Bristol Hospital. Mr. Devoe was born February 8, 1916 in Eagle Lake, ME and was a son of the late Levite and Alvine (Raymond) Devoe. He resided in New Britain before moving to Bristol 11 years ago and prior to retiring he was employed as a carpenter most of his life. In addition to his wife, Mr. Devoe is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Anna Devoe of Port St. Lucie, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Richard Bell of Bristol; three brothers, Edgar Devoe of Ellington, Aldo Devoe of Bristol, and Raymond Devoe of Madawaska, ME; three sisters, Lucienne Merrill of Wall, NJ, Carmen Charette of Caribou, ME, and Angeline Dube of Bristol; a sister-in-law, Yvette Devoe; nine grandsons; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Lloyd Devoe. Funeral Services will be held Friday August 29, 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave. to St. Gregory Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
