FISHER, Robert Robert Fisher, 82, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Norwich, beloved husband of Lillian (Denenholtz) Fisher, died Saturday, (December 26, 2009) in Boca Raton, FL. Born October 27, 1927, in Norwich, son of the late Samuel and Fannie (Bokoff) Fisher, he lived in Norwich most all his life before moving to Boca Raton, FL. Robert was a Jewish war veteran serving during World War II. He owned and operated Fisher Auto Body in New London for 20 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of Congregational Brothers of Joseph Synagogue, Norwich and a member of the men's Club Temple Beth Shalom, Boca Raton, FL. Besides his wife, Lillian, he is survived by Rachel Jaye; a sister-in-law, Shirley Denenholtz; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 30, 11 a.m. in Congregational Brothers of Joseph Cemetery, Preston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Congregation Brothers of Joseph, 2 Broad St. Norwich, CT 06360. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
