Obituary Condolences

Michael James Beach, 40, husband of Linda (Bardin) Beach, of Glastonbury, died suddenly Friday, (September 26, 2003) in Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Hartford, son of Gerald Beach of Naples, FL and Rita (Godin) Beach of Farmington, he lived in Coventry for many years, later moving to Glastonbury. He was a graduate of Coventry High School, where he excelled in sports. Michael was an avid softball player, most recently playing for the Monico Ford Softball team. He worked most of his career in the automobile industry and was employed by Boardwalk Auto Sales in Suffield. Prior to that he worked for many years at Suburban Subaru in Vernon. He was a trained police officer who worked for a short time for the town of Windsor. Michael's hobbies included personal home remodeling and construction, building hot rod cars, snowmobiling, golfing with friends, and swimming and roller skating with his daughter. Besides his loving wife and parents, he leaves a daughter, Madison Lynn Beach; his brother, Jeffrey Beach of San Diego, CA; a sister, Julie Beach Witte of Southington; a niece, Lindsey Rose Witte; a nephew, Stephen Frederick Witte; several aunts and uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a much-loved grandmother, Rose "Meme" Beach; a grandfather, Wilbur Beach; and grandparents, Paul and Ella Godin. A funeral procession will form Wednesday, October 1, at 8:30 a.m. in the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury and proceed to St. Dunstans Church, Manchester Road, Glastonbury, for a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, September 30, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his daughter's education fund to Bank North, c/o Denis Weir, V.P., 2461 Main St., Glastonbury, CT 06033.
