Obituary Condolences

WILLIAMS, Ralph B. Ralph B. Williams, 74, of South Windsor, beloved husband for 50 years of Pauline M. (Therrien) Williams, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (June 02, 2010), at Kimberly Hall in Windsor. He was born in Glens Falls, NY on January 27, 1936 to the late William B. Williams and Lois (Sheffield) Haynen. He served his country honorably during the Korean War as a member of the US Army and he also went on to serve eight years in the Army Reserve as a helicopter mechanic and pilot. Ralph was a self employed heavy equipment mechanic, serving companies mainly in the South Windsor, East Hartford and Manchester area for many years including up to present day. He cherished the friendships he created through work and through his and Pauline's place on Lake Pachaug in Griswold, CT. It was these friends that provided the support that his family so much appreciated. In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter, Cherie Sweeney and her husband E. J. of Windsor. His family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers he had, from Mt. Sinai Hospital, Hartford Hospital, South Windsor Rehabilitation, Kimberly Hall, and Gentiva Home Health Care. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 7, 11 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Burial will be at the family's convenience.
