Obituary Condolences

GREEN, William S. William S. Green of New York, NY passed away on May 29, 2010, the same way he lived his life, surrounded by his loved ones. "Bill" was born in Hartford, CT on July 15, 1941 to Milton M. Green and Lillian R. Green. After graduating from Dartmouth University with a Bachelor's degree in English, he moved to New York City, where he received a fellowship at Columbia University. His lifelong passion of music and the arts made New York City his home for the remainder of his life. Bill worked as a scientific writer and editor at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. He was also an accomplished jazz musician. He shared his love of music and his humor with everyone around him. Bill is survived by his children, Betse Green and Nicole Green-Hilgen; Sons-In-Law, Bill Cernansky and Sorin Hilgen; Grandchildren, Jason and Justin Ramirez, Jan and Grace Hilgen. A Memorial Service Celebrating his Life will be held in New York City. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the CaringBridge (caringbridge.com) and/or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org). "Do good. Have fun. Make money." -- Bill Green
