Richard PARADY Obituary

PARADY, Richard Richard Parady, 83, of East Haddam, husband of Irene (Blaschik) Parady, died peacefully Sunday (July 4, 2010 surrounded by his loving family, after a gallant battle with cancer. He was born in Rumford, Maine, the son of the late Joseph Parady and Lillian (Poulin) Parady. Richard was a Navy Veteran of World War II and had served as Commander of V.F.W. Post 156. Richard was a retiree from the Teamsters Union and then went on to retire from his late brother, Robert Parady's company R. A. Parady & Sons, Inc. Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and was a kind and generous person who brought happiness and love to those who knew him. Richard will be greatly missed by his wife Irene (Blaschik) Parady; son Joseph Parady;daughter Kristin (Fleming) Ford; son in law Donnell Ford III; granddaughter Eryka Lee Ford, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son Albert Parady and wife Phyllis (Trawicki) Parady. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 10 at 9 a.m. at St. Bridget of Kildare Church, 75 Moodus Leesville Road, Moodus, CT. Burial will be in Rumford, ME at a later date. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown Friday, July 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Weiss Hospice Unit c/o Dept. of Philanthropy 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457 or the American Legion Post 156 PO Box 100 Moodus, CT 06469. Your father's mother and my mother Dorothy Poulin Mahady were sister's and Lillian visited us in Latrobe Pa. probably around1966 We also visited there as I remember they lived on hill with horse stable down the road She seemed very quiet prayerful woman on her visit ( but are any Poulin women quiet!My brother attorney passed my sister Suzanne his associate still practices very successfully and I ( David O.Mahady and my sister Sarah/ Sally sit around suffering afflictions of old age?Anyways God bless us all keep Mahady's in your prayers as I do all my family relatives and friends! Our cousin is district judge our township as was my other cousin before( I guess people like us as magistrate sAnyways whoever reads God bless and my e-mail if any interest davidmahady38@yahoo .com
