Augustino Joseph ALLEVO

ALLEVO, Augustino Joseph Augustino Joseph Allevo, 89, of Windsor, beloved husband for 69 years of Theofila Mary (Vabalas) Allevo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (July 6, 2010) at a local convalescent home. Born in Bloomfield on October 8, 1920, son of the late Anthony and Mary Allevo, he was raised in Bloomfield and had lived in Hartford for many years before moving to Windsor 45 years ago. Augustino served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1945. Upon his return, he took a position as bus driver with Connecticut Transit and retired in 1983 after 38 years of service. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Robert Allevo and his wife Dorothy of East Hartland, Kenneth Allevo and his wife Ann of Enfield, and Ronald Allevo and his wife Cheryl of Avon; two sisters, Mildred Plesz of West Hartford and Helen Monkwietz of Enfield; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
