PERRON, Roger J., Sr. Roger Joseph Perron, Sr., 64, of East Hartford, loving husband for over 44 years to Susan E. (Beauchemin) Perron, passed away suddenly on Monday, (February 14, 2011) at his home. Born in Hartford on August 11, 1946, a son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Butler) Perron, he had resided in East Hartford for the past 35 years. Roger was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1964 and a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his term with the U.S. Navy, Roger went to school and became a talented hair stylist in the Glastonbury area for the past 40 years. He was the former owner and operator of Roger's Hideaway Salon and was presently a co-owner of The Hideaway Salon in Glastonbury, where he will be dearly missed by all his loyal customers and employees. Roger was also the Assistant House Manager at The Bushnell Theater in Hartford for the past 16 years, where he had many good friends and co-workers. However, most of all Roger was a proud grandfather who loved spending quality time with his two grandchildren. Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by a sister, Lucille Ricci of Enfield; a brother, Raymond Perron of East Hartford; and his mother-in-law, Helen Beauchemin of Manchester. Along with his beloved wife, Susan, Roger is survived by his devoted daughter, Michelle LeBlanc and her husband, Philip, of Marlborough; two sons, Roger J. Perron, Jr. of Casper, WY, and Jay J. Perron of Alpine, WY; two adored grandchildren, Brianna Grant and William F. Grant IV both of Marlborough. He also leaves a brother, Robert J. Perron and his wife, Patricia, of East Hartford; a sister, Carmen Corson and her husband, Malcolm, of LaVerne, CA; an aunt, Germaine Tardiff of Manchester; two sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Perron of East Hartford, Anne-Marie Calhoun and her husband, Robert, of Palmetto, FL; three brothers-in-law, Michael Beauchemin and his wife, Patricia, of Punta Gorda, FL, Robert Beauchemin and his wife, Karen, of West Yarmouth, MA, Richard Beauchemin and his wife, Linda, of Manchester; his former son-in-law and a special friend, William F. Grant III of West Hartford; two dear cousins, Raymond Goulet and his sister, Janet Rugar; life-long friends, Judy and Frank Schutz of Enfield; his co-owner at The Hideaway Salon, Karen Pfaffenbach; two long-time employees and co-workers, Susan Bachand and Maryann Cofiell; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, co-workers, and his dog and best friend, Sadie. Funeral services will be Friday (February 18th) at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
