Ralph Rappa Obituary

Ralph E. Rappa, 74, of Ledgewood Dr., North Branford died Friday, (October 17, 2003) in the Hospital of St. Raphael. He was the husband of Eleanor Guarnieri Rappa, father of Lisa (Dr. Thomas) Sullivan and Pamela (William) McKernan. His grandchildren Cayla, Brandon, Michael and Collin were the light of his life. He also leaves his dogs Rodney, Willy, Rapper and Lady Bird. Mr. Rappa was born in New Haven, September 10, 1929, a son of Theresa Festa Rappa and the late Ralph Rappa. He had worked in the Human Resources Dept. at United Technologies for 35 years. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut and was an avid Husky fan, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Annex YMA Club and the Setback Club for 40 years. Funeral from the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Pl. Monday morning at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine Church at 10 a.m. Burial in All Saints Cemetery. I'm very sorry for your loss. I worked for Ralph in the No. Haven plant when I started in 1968. A great supervisor who love to laugh and enjoy life. I'm sorry I missed the announcement for the services and didn't get word until today (Monday) but I'll keep he in my thoughts and prayers. If there's anything his friends at UTC can do please contact me.
