I just learned last night about Ron's passing and am very saddened. To Laurie and Collin, my deepest sympathies. As many people know Ron, Dave Bonin and I were close friends since early teen years in Old Saybrook, through our Military service and into adulthood.

I hired Ron in the Town of East Haddam in the early 1980's for a Constable position. I could see just how earnestly he wanted to become a police officer and I was happy to help him achieve that goal as he later left to join the Rocky Hill Police Department. He was a fine young man and I am so sorry to hear of his passing.

Getting to know Ron at work, we discovered we knew quite a few of the "same" people, from Old Saybrook, me a "summer intruder", he a "townie", & from Rocky Hill, including one of the mayors!! He was a pleasure to work with & I will miss him, especially on "our" work weekends.
He will live on in your hearts & in the many lives he touched.
