Ralph E. STODDARD Obituary
STODDARD, Ralph E. Ralph E. Stoddard, 76, of West Simsbury, beloved husband of Josephine R. (Nai) Stoddard passed away Wednesday, (April 13, 2011) at Hartford Hospital. Born November 23, 1934 in Simsbury, son of the late George and Estella (Odell) Stoddard, he had lived in West Simsbury all his life. Ralph graduated from Simsbury High School, he served with the CT National Guard and he owned his own carpentry business for many years before retiring. Ralph had a great love for hunting and for guns; he was president of the Hartford Rifle Club, a lifetime member of the CT Gun Guild and the American Single Shot Rifle Association. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Hartford Gun Club. Besides Josephine, his devoted wife for the past 15 years, he is survived by a step son, Jacob Regier and his wife, Cheryl of Windsor; his twin brother, Richard Stoddard and his wife, Donna of West Simsbury; two grandchildren, Justin and Lindsay Regier; a niece, Nancy Morand; a nephew, Leon Morand and his wife, Virginia, and their children, Michael Morand and his wife, Carola; Donna Lindecamp and her husband, Darryl, and their children, Avery and Kaylan; Lt. Col. Matthew Morand and his wife, Kimberly and their children, Katherine and Caroline; and his beloved cat "Ellie" He was predeceased by two sisters, Vera (Adams) Morand and Jean Stoddard. Special thank s to all the staff at the Harry & Helen Gray Cancer Center for the care given to Ralph. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 10 a.m. at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Entombment will be in Mount St. Benedict Mausoleum.
