THOMPSON, Barbara A.

Barbara A. (Fee) Thompson, 76, beloved wife of William H. Thompson, of Bloomfield died Friday, (June 24, 2011). Born in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late John and Alice (McCauley) Fee, she was raised in the Boston area by her Uncle Walter and Aunt Katherine Curley. Barbara made her home in Yarmouth Port, MA, moving to Bloomfield two years ago. She attended Boston College and graduated from Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing. Barbara was proud of becoming a nurse practioner and worked as a supervisor of nurses for the public schools in the town of East Hartford and was a manager of the Regional Health Center of Palm Beach County in Florida. Besides her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Thompson Cleary and her husband Douglas of Newington, Kathleen Kallfelz and her husband David of Bloomfield; two brothers, John Fee and his wife Carolyn of Naples, FL, James Fee of Hyde Park, MA; five grandchildren, Devin, Tyler and Alexandra Cleary, Elizabeth and Christian Kallfelz. She was predeceased by her sister Jacqueline Fee.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. from the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main St., West Hartford. Calling hours are TODAY from 4-7 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Disease Foundation at www.alzfdna.org.
