Richard SCHOTT Obituary

SCHOTT, Richard
Richard Schott, 71, of Enfield CT, beloved husband of Louise (Leja) Schott, died on Sunday (August 28, 2011) with his wife by his side. Born in Holyoke, MA to the late Edward and Sophia (Jakus) Schott, Richard lived in Enfield for over 40 years. He spent the last 5 years residing in Mays Landing, NJ. He proudly served in the US Army before starting his career working for the airlines (TWA and USAir) in Windsor Locks, CT. He retired at the young age of 53. Richard was an avid golfer and enjoyed helping others improve their golf games. He loved going to the casino, always expecting to 'hit the big one.' For many years, he enjoyed fishing in Long Island Sound, stocking the freezer full of fish for the coming winter. Richard's family would like to thank all of those who helped with his care during the past month. Besides his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Kim Boutot and her husband Greg of Tolland, CT and Brenda Wertsching and her husband Pete of South Glastonbury, CT. He also leaves his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly; Ryan, Adam, and Kyle Boutot and Jenna and Sara Wertsching.
There will be no calling hours or services, honoring his wishes. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
