TEIXERIA, Michael

Michael Teixeira, 48 of Quinn St., Naugatuck died suddenly on Tuesday, (November 22, 2011) at his residence. Born on September 28, 1963 in Fall River, MA, son of Evelyn (Oliveira) Teixeira of East Hampton and the late Manuel Teixeira Jr. Michael had been a resident of Naugatuck most of his life. A member of St. Puis X church . Michael was self employed as a Computer Teck. Besides his mother he is survived by his maternal grandmother Evelyn Oliveira, of East Hampton; a son, Nicholas Teixeira of Naugatuck; a daughter,r Courtney Teixeira of Naugatuck; a sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Doug Elliott of Wethersfield; a niece, Danielle Elliott; a nephew, Craig Elliott; Michael's fiance, Susie Metz, of Long Island, NY, and her children; Kevin, Emily, Caroline, Ryan; Uncle and Aunt Clifford and Elizabeth Oliveira of Amston, CT; aunts Ida Botelho and Lolly Luz, both of Fall River, MA. Michael loved life. He cherished and loved his children unconditionally. He was involved in coaching little league, basketball and soccer both of which his children played. One of Mike's favorite memories is when he took is his children to Disney World. He also loved to take his children on skiing and camping trips. As a family they spent their Sunday's swimming at their grandmother's and great-grandmothers house with their cousins. He also took weekend trips with his children to Long Island to stay with his fiancee and her children. No matter what season Michael would find a good Red Sox, Celtics or Giants game to watch with his children while creating his signature wings or a huge pile of pasta. When you saw Michael he always had his children by his side. His friends are endless. From a toddler at Rose Circle he grew up to be an amazing father with endless friends and family who loved him and will miss him dearly.
The funeral will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the Coughlin-Lastrina Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. Those who wish may make memorial donations in memory of Michael Teixeira's childrens fund c/o Mrs. Evelyn Teixeira 12 Holly Dr. East Hampton, CT. 06424.
