ADAMS, Thomas B., Jr.
Thomas B. Adams Jr., 80, of West Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on Saturday (January 28, 2012) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 55 years, Angeline (Vincenzo) Adams. He was predeceased by his father Thomas B. Adams Sr. and Mother, Marjorie Preston Adams and Grandson Michael Adams and brothers Richard and Preston Adams. He leaves behind four children, Susan Wilkinson and her husband John of South Windsor; sons, Thomas Adams III of Seattle WA, and Michael Adams of West Hartford; and a daughter, Mary-Marjorie Murphy and her husband Craig of West Hartford. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Lisa Chasse-Zito, Angela Echard, Tony Adams, Andrew Adams, Whitney, Nicholas Adams, Jonathan Adams, Shannon Murphy, Ava Murphy; and three great grandchildren, Caraline, Alexander and Leo. He leaves behind sister-in-laws Barbara Adams, Gerry Adams, Maria Pizzanello, Janice Vincenzo, Lea Brown; and brother in laws, Emilio Vincenzo, Robert Pizzanello, and many nieces and nephews. He was an insurance claims adjuster for most of his life and owner of Southern New England Adjustment Bureau. He then owned Central Package Store in West Hartford. He graduated Bulkeley High School in 1950 and served 4 years in the Naval Reserve. He had a unique dry sense of humor and kept everyone laughing with his famous one liners. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and loved to watch the games. His children and grandchildren adored him for his gentleness and sense of fairness. He will be greatly missed. We want to thank all the staff at Hartford Hospital, UConn Health Center, Interim Healthcare and Lincare for all the warm, wonderful care they provided.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Adam Soderberg, will be held at South Congregational Church, 277 Main Street, Hartford, CT on Friday February 3, 2012 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill.
