Robert LAZURE Obituary
LAZURE, Robert R.
Robert R. Lazure, 69, of Manchester, passed away peacefully Monday (June 18, 2012) at his home. Born in Southbridge, MA he was the son of Mary (Bucelli) Langlois of Brimfield, MA. and the late Robert O. Lazure. Bob had retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in 1998 after 37 years of service and worked for several outsourced companies most recently at InfoTech. Bob was an active member of the Silk City Chorus and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid fluke fisherman and Boston Red Sox fan. His greatest love was mentoring others both professionally and personally. He is survived by his daughters Kathy Hindes of Belvidere, Illinois and Carleen Fox of Manchester; and his grandchildren Ashley, Allyson, Shannon and Kailey Hindes from Illinois. He is predeceased by his brother Raymond. He is also survived by his siblings, Dottie Newton and her husband Keith, Joanne LaBonte and her husband Freddy, George "Bo" Langlois, Bill Langlois and his wife Gail, Debbie Bowen and her husband Rick, and Linda Hess and her husband Michael; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and his grand dogs - Stoli and Guinness.
Funeral Services will be held Friday June 22nd from 4-8 p.m. at Tierney Funeral Home at 219 West Center Street, Manchester, CT 06040 with a Mass held on Saturday June 23rd at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 46 North Eagleville Road, Storrs, CT 0628. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations can be made to Silk City Chorus at P.O. Box 2412 Manchester, CT 06040-2412. For online condolences please visit www.tierneyfuneralhome.com.

To the entire Lazure family: My condolences for your loss. I remember your family from years ago at St. Matthews (babysitting). I was also fortunate to meet up with Bob during my time working at P&W. He was a nice man with a wonderful voice. Now he is singing with the angels and watching over you.

I worked with Bob at Pratt for many years. He was a kind and gentle man and I always enjoyed working with him. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and may the many wonderful memories you have bring you comfort.

To Carlene and her family: a feeling of compassion washed over me when I read of Robert's passing. My prayers are for you and also for Robert. May the Good Lord ease the pain of your loss and grant Robert eternal peace. I have expressed my wishes when my time comes; "that there be smiles and happiness not because I am gone but because I have been among you". Remember the good times. It helps.
