Obituary Condolences

ALBRECHT, Robert Mark
In loving Memory of Robert Mark Albrecht, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, Mark Albrecht, 57, passed away on September 27th, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut. Born August 27, 1955, in Bridgeport to Robert and Clara Albrecht, Mark grew up in Easton, CT, attended Joel Barlow High School and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1977. He received his Masters in Business from UConn in 1982. Mark was an engineer at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford for 35 years. He was an active member of Wapping Community Church. A loving husband and father, Mark placed great value in nurturing, protecting, and caring for his wife and two daughters. Many close to him will remember him as a "quality guy." Mark was loved by many, but most of all by his family who remember him as a man who loved and gave freely of himself. Survivors include his wife, Patty Albrecht, two daughters, Larisa and Amy, all of South Windsor, his parents, Robert and Clara Albrecht of Wallingford, two sisters, Alison Scully and her husband Dan of Middletown and Laura Albrecht, of Mansfield, and sister and brother-in-law Linda and David Lockart of Delaware, and several nieces and nephews. The family is deeply appreciative of the loving care Mark received from the doctors, nurses and staff at Saint Francis Hospital, and at ECHN Cancer Institute.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Wapping Community Church. A reception will follow the service in the community room. To celebrate Mark's life, and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (http://www.lls.org/#/waystohelp/donate/) and Wapping Community Church, 1790 Ellington Rd., South Windsor, CT 06074.
