BARONE, Frank Nicholas

Frank Nicholas Barone, 83 of East Hartford and Port St. Lucie, FL, husband of the late Barbara (Brown) Barone, died peacefully, Saturday (December 1, 2012) at Hartford Hospital with his family by his side. He was born August 14, 1929 in Hartford and was the son of the late Nicholas and Minnie (Tiberio) Barone. Frank proudly served in the US Army. He was retired from the Town of East Hartford where he served as the Director of Inspections and Permits. He was a longtime faithful communicant of St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. Frank was an avid golfer, tennis player, bowler and billiard player. He was the past Exalted Ruler of the former Elks Club in East Hartford and was presently a Life Member of the Hartford B.P.O.E, Lodge # 19. Frank was one of the founders and served as President of the former Italian American Club, East Hartford. He was very active in East Hartford Politics and served on many committees. Above all else he was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who will always be remembered. He is survived by his two sons, Nicholas F. Barone and wife, Kim of Simsbury and Stephen R. Barone and wife, Lona of Wethersfield; his loving grandchildren, of whom he was very proud and were the "Apple of his Eye", Nicholas F. Barone, Jr. of New York City, Anne M. Barone of Boston, MA, Daniella M. Barone and Frank N. Barone both of Wethersfield; two sisters, Christine Butler and husband, John and Jean Barone all of South Windsor; a special and dear friend, Anne Fornabi of Vernon; many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of dear and close friends. He was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Barone and Mary Paquette.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 15 Maplewood Avenue, East Harford. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours are Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the D'Esopo East Hartford Chapel.
