Obituary Condolences

Martin Wollner, age 86 of Forest Hills, NY, formerly of Bridgeport and Florida, passed away on Friday December 21, 2012. Mr. Wollner was born in Bridgeport, a son of the late Dennis and Ruth Wollner, and served in the US Army during World War II. Mr. Wollner was a proud member of the Bridgeport chapter of the Jewish War Veterans, where he also served as a Past Commander. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Wollner was employed by The City of Bridgeport as an Assistant Tax Collector. He was pre deceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Gloria Wollner. They both had volunteered much of their time at the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield. Mr. Wollner is survived by his devoted children, Barry Wollner and his wife Ronnie Hochberg of Forest Hills, NY, David Wollner and his wife Cindy of Mansfield Center; his daughter-in-law Faith Wollner of Trumbull; and by his cherished grandchildren, Danielle, David and Cheryl. Mr. Wollner was also predeceased by his son, Alan Wollner.
Services will take place on Monday, December 24, 2012 (TODAY) at 10 a.m. from The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, CT., with interment following at Eintracht Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hurricane Sandy relief effort c/o The American Red Cross. (www.redcross.org/hurricane-sandy).
