MALIS, Gary
Gary Malis of Uncasville, Boca Raton, FL and formerly from Farmington where he grew up and Old Saybrook where he spent summers passed away on Monday, (January 14, 2013). Gary attended The University of Florida. A former football player and an avid football fan of the Miami Dolphins, was a consummate boater and lover of the water. One could often find Gary at The Marina's in Old Saybrook or Westbrook. Gary was a funny guy with a good heart and a great sense of humor. Gary formerly ran The Boston Bartending Schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts and after selling them was in the computer software business, and a partner in G & L Associates. He leaves his Mom, Dolores May Malis of Delray Beach, FL whom he loved so dearly; his sister Lauren Malis of Delray Beach, FL; his Father, Stanley H. Malis of Port St. Lucie, FL; his nearest and dearest friend who gave him laughter, comfort and joy in his last few months Beth Sciarroni in Uncasville; and his best buddy, Lenny Baldino of Farmington, whom he shared many days of fun and frolic over the years and former business partner and dear friend Paula Arcodia and her daughter Rosie of Coconut Creek, FL and his dog, Jackie. Gary will be deeply, deeply missed and his love will live on forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Service and Mass will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Luxe Partners, 13654 Breton Lane, Delray Beach, FL 33446 to honor Gary's wishes to help others.
