Carl Frascona has succumbed to his long battle with heart disease and cancer. Carl passed away peacefully surrounded by this loving family. Carl was born July 5, 1938, in the Hell's Kitchen section of Manhattan NYC to the late Charles Frascona, and Linda Mariella Frascona. Carl was the oldest of three Brothers: John of Medway, MA and Richard of Palm City, FL. The Family moved to New Britain, CT when Carl was 5. Here he attended Israel Putnam grammar school. Later the family moved to West Hartford CT. Carl worked at the Holy Family Monastery until high school, where he attended Hall high school. Carl joined the US Marine Corps right after graduation from high school in 1957. He was stationed at Qui Point in the Philippine Islands. Here he met his wife of 53 years Concordia Dulpa. They were married 1959. Carl was honorably discharged in 1960 and they bought a house in the small growing community of Southington. Carl went to work for his father at Frascona Trucking as their head of equipment maintenance department. Shortly after Carl bought his first truck and continued to drive until his retirement in 2003. Carl is survived by his wife Concordia, son Charles Frascona and wife Kathryn of Southington, and precious granddaughter Kelly, brother John Frascona and wife Natalie, niece Karen Frascona, and nephew Jeffery Frascona, brother Richard Frascona, nieces Sara Frascona, Stephanie Drinkwater, nephews, David Frascona and Richard Paul Frascona and many cousins scattered across the country.
The Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 3, at 9:15 a.m. from the Dellavechia Funeral Home to St. Donovan Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
