It's with a deep sadness that I read about Sam's passing. I knew Sam for many years in the 76th Division and will always remember him as a kind and light-hearted soul. I can still recall him calling " Hey Lynchy" whenever he wanted me. I last saw Sam in 1978 when we both sent to summer duty at Fort Dix. This is a sad day for me.
