EAGLESON, Donald Gary

Donald Gary Eagleson, 75, of Manchester, died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his home. He was born February 24, 1938 in Manchester, son of the late Albert E. and Arline M. (Dougan) Eagleson, he attended Manchester High School where he played Football and had been a lifelong resident of Manchester. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and then became a Welder by trade and also worked as a Plumber. Don was a diehard Giants fan, he loved golfing with friends, playing a friendly game of cribbage at the British American Club or the Washington Social Club and going to Key West. He is survived by two daughters, Lynn M. Behrmann and her husband Jeff Behrmann Sr. of Manchester, Laurie A. Eagleson-Abele and her husband Bruce Abele, five grandchildren, Jeffrey Behrmann Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Jeremy Behrmann and His Girlfriend Christy Keene all of Manchester, Isabella, James and Aiden Abele all of Tolland and great grandchildren Alexis Behrmann and Braeden Keene of Manchester. Other survivors include his former wife Isabelle S. Eagleson of Tolland, his brother George Eagleson and his wife Janet of Florida, two sisters, Linda Tyler of Manchester, Nancy Crouse and her husband Robert of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by two brothers, Melvin and Gordon Eagleson and Brother-in-law Robert Tyler.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial with Military Honors will be in the East Cemetery.
