Kevin J. STRASSER Obituary


Kevin J. Strasser, 46, of Plainville, CT passed away Monday (August 26, 2013) at home. Kevin was born in Erie, PA and was the son of the late Frederick and Joan (Dombrowski) Strasser. Kevin worked for the Town of Windsor for fifteen years in the engineering department, and worked as a Project Manager for both Hammonasset Construction and VMS Construction. Kevin was a member of the Austrian Donau Club, and the Elks Lodge #957. Kevin at heart, was just that, heart. He loved and adored his children above all things. He was devoted to his wife of nineteen years. He was an open personality with a big heart welcoming all he knew into it. Kevin is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Janice (Aiudi) and his three adoring children, Elizabeth, Johann "Hans" and Teresa. Along with his wife and children he is survived by his sister, Kim Morbitzer, and husband Michael of Orange Park FL, his brother Fred Strasser and wife Mary Ellen of New Britain, his sister Sharon Pidgeon of Somerville, NJ. He also survived by a "boat load" of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph Strasser.
A Celebration of Kevin's Life will be held Friday August 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Maurice Church, 100 Wightman St., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, Ct. Thursday from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or west - Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) right off exit - one mile down on right. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Austrian Donau Club Scholarship Fund, 545 Arch Street, New Britain, Ct.
