BOUCHARD, Kenneth P.
Kenneth P. Bouchard, 70, beloved husband of Lorraine (Roy) Bouchard of West Hartford, died peacefully on Tuesday, (August 27, 2013), at Hughes Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Rochester, NH, the son of Lorraine (Vachon) and the late Paul Bouchard, he has made his home in West Hartford for the past 36 years. Ken graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology, University of New Haven, and received his Masters in Operations Management from Lesley College. He began his career at Pratt and Whitney and Connecticut General and retired from Northeast Utilities. Always an engineer, Ken enjoyed the challenge of home restorations which he pursued after his retirement. Some of Ken's other enjoyments was being a Cub Scout Den Leader and a Boy Scout Quartermaster. Besides his wife of 46 years and his mother, he is survived by his son Kenneth Bouchard and his wife Susan Dawn Heyse of Williamsburg, VA; his grandson, Brendan Bouchard; and his brothers, Ronald, Richard and Charles Bouchard, all from New Hampshire; his sister-in-law Arlene Jones of Somersworth, NH; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the medical staff at Hartford Hospital, especially Dr. Alexandra Flowers and Dr. Robert Siegel; Dr. Joel Miller, his primary care physician; and the entire staff at Hughes Health and Rehabilitation for their compassion and care during his illness.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 30, at 10 a.m. in The Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main Street, West Hartford. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
