Born on September 15, 1930 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Peter and Helen (Surmolian) Hatsian. Arman was a 1948 graduate of Hartford Public High School and attended UCONN. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement Arman was employed as a photographer at the Hartford Courant for 40 years. Immediately after their retirement, Arman and Betty were also able to enjoy 12 years in Florida, returning to Connecticut in 2005 to be with their family. He enjoyed traveling and was a fan of the UCONN football and basketball teams, but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, who will miss his teasing, sense of humor, boisterous voice and his special laugh.
