Madeleine Favreau Obituary

Madeleine (Lussier) Favreau, 93, of Suffield, formerly of South Windsor, beloved wife of the late Raymond Favreau Sr., died peacefully on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 26, 1920 in Pawtucket, RI, daughter of the late Rosairo and Evelina (Caron) Lussier. Madeleine was a graduate of Pawtucket High School. A resident of South Windsor for over 40 years, she worked as an administrative assistant for the plant manager at Dynamic Controls. She was an active member of St. Margaret Mary Parish in South Windsor. Madeleine was a devoted wife and loving mother who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She was a Brownie Scout Leader. She was active with the South Windsor Senior Center, where she played cards, bingo and tap danced into her 80's. Madeleine was a kind, caring and deeply religious woman who will be greatly missed by all, especially all of the children who called her "Grandma Maddy" throughout the years. She leaves her children, Michelle Loyzim and her husband Richard of Somers, Patrice Favreau of South Windsor, Raymond Favreau and his wife Deborah of Bolton, Cathy Kostecki and her husband Peter of Enfield and Thomas Favreau and his wife Catherine of Nashville, TN; and two grandsons who knew her as "Memere", Adam Favreau of Bolton and Matthew Foley of Manchester. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, February 1, 2014, 8:30 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Church, South Windsor. Private burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. Her family will receive friends on Friday (TODAY) from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Suffield Volunteer Ambulance Association, P.O.
