PETRAS, Dimitrios Dimitrios Petras, 85, of Hartford, beloved husband for 50 years of Vasiliki (Agapitou) Petras, died, Thursday, (March 9, 2006) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Leros, Greece and had lived in Hartford since 1966. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Aetna Insurance Co. He was a 40 year member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and a member of the senior citizens of the church. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Paraskevi and Argyris Nikolaou of Wethersfield and Joanna and Asa Yamada of Scottsdale, AZ; four grandchildren, Nikos and Dimitrios Nikolaou and Christina and Joshua Yamada and two sisters, Sevasti and Anna both of Greece. The funeral will be Monday, March 13, 10 a.m. in St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford with the Very Rev. Archimandrite John A. Heropoulos officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday 1-4 p.m. with a Trisayion Service at 1:30 p.m. at The Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Tpke., Wethersfield.
