Rose Parent Obituary
Salem- Rose Parent passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014 at L&M Hospital. She was born on August 20, 1922 in Mansfield, MA to John and Rose Oliveria and was the widow Of Arthur Parent. Rose graduated.from Mansfield High School in MA and she married Arthur Parent in 1942; they moved to Ellington, CT were they resided for many years raising their only daughter Daine. She worked as an Inspector at Hamilton Standard. Rose was very active in the Ellington Senior Center and theater group. She was a great baker who loving provided wedding cakes for her daughter and grandchildren's weddings, She loved Cape Cod and was an avid seamstress and quilter. Rose is survived by her daughter Daine Lazarin and her husband Ed of Salem, her grandchildren.Eric Lazarin and Kimberly Lazarin-Meltzer and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Arthur and her parents she was predeceased by her brother Manny Oliveria and Sister Dorothy Nightingale. A memorial service will be held on Saturday Sept 20, 2014 from 3-5 at the Belmont Sabrowski Funeral Home 144 South Main St. Colchester.

I always admired Rose for her ability to smile in the face of adversity. Her enthusiasm for life kept her moving forward. She had a way of raising everyone else up with her words of encouragement. May she rest in eternal peace.
