Gustav Peplau Obituary
Gustav Peplau, 92, of Deerfield Ave., Middletown, husband of the late Mary (Merenda) Peplau, died Friday June 12, 2015 at his home. He was born in Germany, the son of the late Rudolph and Anna (Wolynic) Peplau. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Standard Knapp in Portland as a machinist. Gustav is survived by three sons, John Peplau and his wife Doreen of Middletown, James Peplau and his wife Nancy of Haddam Neck, and Victor Peplau of Middletown; two daughters, Maria Peplau of East Hampton, and Anne Waldman of New Milford; ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will be held Tuesday June 16, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Elm St., Middletown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association 5 Brookside Dr., PO Box 5022 Wallingford, CT 06492.
