Irene Raymond

1948 - 2016

Irene Raymond, 68, beloved wife of Robert Raymond of Deep River CT passed away at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford Connecticut on July 31st 2016. Born and raised in New Britain CT, she was the daughter of the late Loretta (Degnan) and Stanley Rudolewicz. Irene moved to Deep River in 1979 where she an active member of her community and 23 year employee of Whelen Engineering. She enjoyed many crafts including sewing, cross stitch, and cooking. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Halsey and her husband Glenn of Southampton, NY; a son Matthew Raymond and his wife Kim of Ivoryton CT; five grandchildren, Zachary Halsey and his wife Megan of Huntington NY, Julia Halsey and Benjamin Halsey of Southampton NY, as well as Carolyn Raymond, Michael Raymond and their mother Kathy Raymond of Deep River CT; and a great-grandson Lukas Halsey. She was pre-deceased by her brother Joseph Rudolewicz, and survived by his widow Agnes of Lubec, ME. She also leaves two brothers; Stanley Rudolewicz, Jr. and his wife Ann of Southington CT, Stephen Rudolewicz of New Britain CT; a sister Donna Sanford of Pine AZ; a sister-in-law Sandra Raymond and her husband Patrick Hallisey of Wayland, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 6th 2016 at 11:30 A.M., at St. Joseph's Church; 48 Middlesex Turnpike, Chester, CT. A reception will follow.
