Obituary Condolences

GENEAUJ   Joseph Geneau, 78, of Caswell Ave., Bristol, husband of Rita (Lagasse) Geneau, died Thursday, (January 3, 2002) in Bristol. Born in New Brunswick, Canada, he was a resident of Bristol since 1957. A veteran of the Canadian Army during World War II, Mr. Geneau was a member of St. Ann's Church in Bristol, and was employed by the Public Works Dept. of Bristol for 28 years until his retirement in 1985, as a crew leader. Besides his wife, Rita, he is survived by ten children and their spouses, Morel and Patricia Geneau of Bristol, Richard and Deborah Geneau of Bristol, Guildor and Debra Geneau of Port Charlotte, FL, Valdor and Barbara Geneau of New Hartford, Ronald and Janet Geneau of Bristol, Leonide Geneau of St. Jerome, Quebec, Canada, Denise Paradis of Ocala, FL, Arlene Geneau of Middletown, Darlene Pedra of Avon, and Kathleen Lavigne of Summerfield, FL. He was predeceased by a daughter, Solange Ouellette. Also surviving are three brothers; four sisters; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 6, 5 p.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Sq., New Britain. Calling hours will be Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
