I was saddened to learn of Mark's passing. He was a gifted and thoughtful man who accomplished so much in so many ways. In 2015, Mark was inducted into the New England Basketball Hall Of Fame. We decided that the Scholar Athlete category was most appropriate, since Mark's life and accomplishments embody the scholar athlete ideal.

My condolences to the Yellin family over the loss of a splendid man.

Mark will be missed. He was a true visionary who had a passion to rehabilitate places that brought fond memories alive again. The last couple years he worked hard to try and make his, "last night I had a dream", come true. Loved his honesty, his laughter, his friendship and dedication to peoples in his life. I am so happy I had him as a friend.

Dear Laura,
Andy and I were so sad to hear of Mark's passing. Although we knew he was having health issues, we did not know the extent.
We remember the fun parties at your home, how happy you were together.

May it comfort you to know how many caring thoughts are with and Matt at this sad time.

May Mark's name be for a blessing.
Our Love,
Joyce & Andy

Mark had a great life, filled with love, good fortune and great times. On the other hand, he reached out to those less fortunate with his time and generosity. He was always there when you needed him. We're grateful for the memory of Laura and Mark visiting us last year. RIP MARK

Yellin family,
I am sorry for your loss. God bless you at this difficult time & may He grant you all the strength you need.
I worked for Mark for 7 years, 50 years ago, as his secretary on Pearl Street in Hartford. He then moved to Farmington Avenue in West Hartford to continue his practice. His mother taught me all about bookkeeping & keeping the records, etc. He was a good lawyer & man to work for & I learned a lot from him. I remember the Capitols Basketball team. Good memories.

Jon -- I always will remember your dad sitting in the bleachers watching you play basketball in high school. He was not the least bit distracted by anything going on around him, immersed in the action on the court. It was an afternoon game during the week, and he was taking time away from his law practice to watch you play. More fathers should do that. My condolences to you and your family.
