Karrie Alderman Obituary
Karrie (Grey) Alderman, 100, of Middletown, beloved wife of the late Raymond E. Alderman, Sr., died Sunday July 30, 2017 in Suffield. She was born in Meriden, the fifth child to William and Emma (Bell) Grey. Prior to her retirement, Karrie was employed with Haddam Manufacturing as an executive secretary. She enjoyed knitting, reading and crossword puzzles but most of all loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Fern Alderman, Maureen Hartzell and her husband John, Polly Beckwith and her husband Richard, former son-in-law Ronald Bugai, grandchildren, Laurel Williams, JoAnn Bugai, Susan Fernandez, John Hartzell, II, Elizabeth Edwards, Christopher Beckwith, Edward Beckwith, 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Raymond E. Alderman, Jr., brothers, Earl Grey and Kenneth Grey as well as sisters, Evelyn Donnelly and Ruth Sitchel. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. A memorial service will be held at a later date. My memories of Grandma Alderman are so joyful. I can only imagine how many wonderful memories you all have. What a kind and witty woman. I'm so happy I had the chance to know her. My love to you all as you remember her and celebrate her wonderful life.

70 years is our life span-80 years with special mightiness. Psalm 90:10. Ms. Alderman had 100 years of special mightiness. May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of the times you spent together as you celebrate a life well lived. She was very special indeed!
