Obituary Condolences

METTICA, Samuel "Sam" Samuel "Sam" Mettica, 94, husband of 43 years to Josephine Felice Mettica of West St., Bristol, passed away Friday, (June 18, 2004) after a brief illness. He was born in Meriden February 18, 1910 a son of the late Dominic and Josephine Cirillo Mettica and had resided in Meriden before moving to Bristol in 2002. Sam was a speciality tool & die maker with Cuno Engineering Co. of Meriden for 32 years prior to his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the former Grace Baptist Church and he enjoyed gardening, reading, and his basement machine shop. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and their spouses, George and Linda Bradigo of Wolcott, Dominic and Laura Bradigo of Bristol; two sisters, Delores Mettica of So. Meriden, Ellen Edwards of San Antonio, TX; a brother, Albert Mettica of So. Meriden; three grandchildren, Brenda Bradigo, Linda Jodoin, and Michael Bradigo all of Bristol; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceasecd by a sister, Dianna Vehs; and two brothers, Joseph and Louis Mettica. Funeral service will be Monday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at the BEECHER & BENNETT-FLATOW FUNERAL HOME, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden. The Rev. Robert Prescott-Ezickson will officiate.
