MANGINO, Carmen Carmen Mangino, 86, loving husband of Mary Latela Mangino of Elaine Terrace, New Haven died Friday, (June 18, 2004). Son of the late Basilio and Antonette Perrino Mangino. Beloved father of Robert (Ann) Mangino of Guilford, Mary Latela of Wethersfield, Catherine (Walter) Lincoln of Salem, MA and Annette (Paul) Shapiro of Storrs. Loving grandfather of Robert and Alisa Mangino, Michael and Nancy Fenocketti, Caroline Burnett and Sam Shapiro. Beloved great grandfather of Anna Celeste Banks; brother of Anna Caiafo of Middletown and the late Mary Hickey, Joseph and Salvatore Mangino. Prior to his retirement he was a furniture salesman with the former H.M. Bullard Co and the Edward Malley Co. He was a professional musician playing the violin and singing with the former Musicalaires and Showtrain Entertainers and also performed at Amarante's Dinner Theater. He was a member of the CT Federation of Musicians, a World War II Army veteran and a professional calligrapher. His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd., Rte 80, East Haven Tuesday morning at 9:15 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent DePaul Church at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call TODAY from 4-8 p.m. Annette and Paul Shapiro will receive friends at their home, 140 Davis Rd., Storrs on Thursday, June 24 with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
