BRODEUR, Paul J. Paul J. Brodeur, 44, of Unionville, beloved son of Ellen (Boulet) Brodeur and the late Maurice J. Brodeur, died Friday, (December 24, 2004) at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford, October 2, 1960, grew up in Newington and previously lived in Canton before residing in Unionville for five years. Paul was a graduate of Newington High School and was a licensed plumber. He was employed by the Connecticut Children's Medical Center for many years. He was a member of the NRA and was an avid hunter and fly-fisherman. Paul was a member of the Fin, Fur and Feather Club, N. Windham. Besides his mother Ellen, he is survived by his sister Zoe Belliveau and her husband Joseph, of Newington, his nephew Matthew Belliveau, his beloved aunt Ann Bessette of Torrington and many aunts, uncle, cousins and loving friends in the U.S. and Canada. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 29, at 9 a.m., from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church. Interment will be private in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, from 4- 8 p.m., at Newington Memorial. Memorial donations may be made in Paul's memory to Farmington River Anglers Assoc., P.O. Box 177, New Hartford, CT 06057.

I am extremely saddened to hear about Paul's death. I met Paul at Newington Children's Hospital and have worked with him at both NCH and CCMC. He was a kind, polite man who was liked by all.
