Sophie Lukaszewski Obituary
LUKASZEWSKI, Sophie (Plewa) Sophie (Plewa) Lukaszewski, 97, of New Britain died Sunday, (January 16, 2005). She was born in Poland on May 7, 1907 immigrating to New Britain in 1923 where she lived for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margareta (Walegura) Plewa. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and formerly of the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild, and retired from Fafnir Bearing Co. She is survived by her loving son, Edward Lukaszewski with whom she made her home, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; two sisters, Veronica Rogers and Mary Palys, and a brother in Poland. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 19, at 9 a.m. at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be TODAY, from 4-7 p.m. at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, directions Exit 37 off I-84 take a right 1 1/2 miles on your right.
