Joseph Glazewski Obituary

Joseph S. Glazewski, 79, of Tombstone, AZ, formerly of East Hartford and Glastonbury, passed away Tuesday (September 3, 2002). He was born in New Britain, CT. He served his country in the Coast Guard during World War II. He retired from the CT. State Prison System in Somers. While employed he served as President of the AFSCME. He was a member of VFW Color Guard for many years. He leaves his loving wife Rosalee, four children from his first wife Alice, JoAnn and her Husband William Moss of East Hartford, David and his wife Holly Glazewski of Portland, Wanda and her husband Doug Stone of Ellington and Master Sgt. Joseph Glazewski, Jr., Special Forces, Fort Bragg, NC; and five loving grandchildren, Heather, Katie, Garrett, Dillon and Alexis. Donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Joe lived in and loved Tombstone, AZ, the town too tough to die, for many years. He was a founding member of the San Pedro Yacht club. He ran for office as town councilman, serviced as political gadfly. He died suddenly, steps from the OK Coral, with his boots on.
