Catherine Hayden Obituary

Catherine (Dorsey) Hayden, 86, died Monday, (June 11, 2001) at St. Francis Hospital following a short illness. She was the widow of John M. Hayden of Windsor, where she resided for many years. She was most recently a resident of Hebron. A native of Hartford, she was the daughter of Anna and Peter J. Dorsey. Catherine was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1932A. She worked for 25 years for Hartford National Bank & Trust Company. She retired in 1976 as an Assistant Vice President for Personnel, one of the highest-ranking women in the bank. Besides her husband, Catherine is predeceased by her daughter, Mary Ann (Hayden) Weisher; and a brother, Edward P. Dorsey. She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and John Seredynski of Hebron; her son, John Hayden and Rose Kaiser of East Hartford; five grandchildren, Steven and Karen Weisher of Windsor, Mark and Lisa Weisher of East Granby, Thomas and Carol Seredynski of Hebron, Paul Seredynski and Michelle Rowland of San Diego, CA, and Maryanne Seredynski and Scott Cooper of New York City, NY. She also leaves three great-grandchildren, Matthew Weisher of Windsor Locks, and Brian and Amy Seredynski of Hebron. She also leaves two devoted cousins, May Bolton Smith of Rockville and Conyers, GA, and Margaret Bolton Hall of Windsor Locks. There will be no calling hours and services will be private. Glastonbury Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
