MARATTA, FrankFrank Maratta, 74, the husband of Filomena (Neri) Maratta, passed away Tuesday, (January 28, 2003) in Florida, due to complications after his heart surgery, with his wife by his side. He had lived in West Hartford for 45 years moving to Farmington four years ago and spent six months every year in Jensen Beach, FL. Mr. Maratta immigrated to this country in 1956, to better his life and raise his family. Through hard work and determination he established his own business in 1967, Frank's Tailor Shop, on Park Road in West Hartford and operated it until retiring in 1990. A loving father and husband, his passions were his family, gardening, and fishing. Besides his wife, he leaves his daughters, Nadia Petraccone and her husband, Piero of West Hartford and Delia Ayer and her husband, Robert of Farmington; four grandchildren, David and Frankie Petraccone and Alex and Katrin Ayer; and his sister, Maria in S. Apollinare, Italy. Calling hours are TODAY, 4-7 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. Funeral services will be Monday, 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Timothy, 1116 North Main St., West Hartford, 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
