Obituary Condolences

GEORGE, Leroy H. Leroy H. George, 51, of Broad Brook, passed away peacefully on Monday, (March 19, 2007) at Hartford Hospital. Leroy was born February 3, 1956 in Woodsville, NH to the Late Earl George and Clara (McQuesten) George. Leroy dedicated his time to many clubs and organizations such as the East Windsor Lions Club, Windsor Locks Italian Progressive Club, he was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, Pioneer Sportsmen Club, A.P.A. Pool League, and Enfield men's over thirty softball league. He was an avid volunteer in the Broad Brook and Enfield communities and supporter of the Ronald McDonald House. When Leroy had spare time he enjoyed cooking and woodworking. Leroy owned Two Shift Jones Wood Working in Broad Brook. He lived life to the fullest and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him. A loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Uncle, he is survived by his loving wife of 28yrs., Nancy (Beauregard) George of Broad Brook; his son, Brandon George and his fiancé, Tia Gundry of Vernon; his daughters, Holly Surrette and her husband William of Willington, Cherilee George of Broad Brook, Candy Lee George of Broad Brook; his brother, Stanley George of Bath, NH; his sister, Connie George, of Concord, NH; his grandchildren, Tucker George and Clarissa Surrette and many nieces and nephews including Eric, Carrie, Brandon, Tracy, Christopher and Aram. Leroy is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Aremburg. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 24, 2007 from 4~7 p.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT. There will also be calling hours on Monday, March 26, 2007 from 6~8 p.m. at the Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH 03785. Spring Burial will be held at Bath Cemetery in Bath, NH at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Leroy's memory to the Ronald McDonald House, 34 Chappin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107 or to the Kidney Foundation of Connecticut, 920 Farmington Ave. West Hartford, CT 06107.
